Why would we want to sell Bale? Don’t get it. With his recent injury record and lack of game time, there’s no way we’d get our £8m back. And everyone knows that he’s got ridiculous potential – he could be one of the best left backs in the world. He’s in the perfect situation for his stage of development, he’ll get chances to prove himself this season with only Benoit ahead of him and his ability to play left midfield. this one makes no sense and as such is almost certainly nonsense.

Jermaine Jenas had a massive party recently to celebrate his engagement to WAG Ellie Penfold. Peter Crouch, Robbie Keane and JJ himself were all pictured drunkenly singing karaoke and rapper ‘Nelly’ made a surprise appearance to serenade the happy couple.

Lots of Spurs players are in action this weekend and in mid-week in some vital World Cup Qualifiers. The company that are running the Ukraine Vs England match are also running loads of other matches, but much cheaper.

Wales have a host of injury problems and so Gareth Bale is expected to play on the left wing against a decent Finland side. Sign up for that match here.

Much will be expected of Wilson Palacios as Honduras face El Salvador away in a crazy atmosphere for a match that will determine whether or not we’ll be seeing ‘The General’ at next summer’s World Cup. The Bale Hoodoo:

Gareth Bale broke his Tottenham league hoodoo by being on the winning side in a Premier League match for the first time after 29 league matches for Spurs.

The September Jinx:

Spurs won a match in September for the first time in four years. Yup, the first time in four years!

A first for Robbie Keane:

Robbie Keane scored 4 goals in a match for the first time in his career.

“It’s true, the player likes Milan but for the moment no official offer has arrived for him,” Peppino Tirri told calciomercato.it.

“Many coaches are a fan of Bale, Redknapp included. Unsellable? In today’s market there is no such thing as an unsellable player.

“However, no offer has come in, we have not talked about it with Tottenham, nor of his price.”

What do we think?

Bale is a young player with bags of potential. We all know the unfortunate fact that he hasn’t been on a winning Spurs side in the league. But he’s been one of the worst affected by the Ramos debacle, a young player in a struggling team, confidence shot to bits and so too risky for what was a relegation battle for much of last season.

He’s lost his place at left back to Benoit Assou-Eketto and the stakes have been raised even further by the arrival of Kyle Naughton (who spent much of last season at left back for Sheffield United).

But Bale has the potential to be a world class  left back (a term we don’t use lightly) and we need him as a left wing option too. Levy will want top dollar for Bale if Milan really do want him because Redknapp wont want to lose him. We can’t see Milan paying top dollar for a young left back who still has a lot to prove.

We want to see him stay and we think he will. What do you think?
