Reports yesterday confirmed that Jermain Defoe trained with his hand in a protective glove after he suffered a dislocated finger in last week’s win over Burnley.
And Peter Crouch is almost certain to start as Harry looks for size in his team selection to counteract Bolton’s physicality and threat from set-pieces.
With Robbie Keane fresh from scoring 4 goals against Burnley in Spurs last match and previous experiments with the Irishman playing on the left wing failing, the smart money is surely on Defoe to be on the bench.
Having said that, I can’t remember Harry ever leaving Defoe out of the first team when fit.
Please God, don’t play Keane on the left wing again.

I’m more concerned about daws and bassong having there first outing together at the reebok. We need them to head everything they throw at us from set pieces.
When did Robbie Keane fail on the left wing? He only played there against ManUtd this season. But the whole team failed against them, didn’t they?…
Keano didnt fail its just the anti keane stuff again.
Keane played (terribly) on the left against Chelsea too and a couple of matches last season. There was more than one period under Jol where he was tried there too. This is not anti-Keane stuff – he just isn’t a left winger and doesn’t play well there.
Im more concerned by the bizarre decision to pick huddlestone ahead of dawson.
Why the hell hasn’t he made any subs?
