Ferguson Purrs After Danny Rose Debut

Son-of-a rednose Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson was absolutely gushing about Danny Rose’s talents after he made his debut for Posh against Plymouth in the Championship last night.

Peterborough went down 2-1 at home but Fergie II said: “Rose can see a pass, he’s good on the ball and offers good balance with his left-foot. When he was on the ball some of his passing was a delight.”

Rose is on loan at Posh from Spurs.

Is young talent finally threatening to emerge from Tottenham? Or will these guys disappear into the ether like so many before them? Comment below.

  • I dont think Harry will be like other managers of past,i think he will blood these youngsters at other clubs on loan. But then slowley bring them into the fold at Spurs, after they have experience of playing at other levels. But only time will tell as to whether or not this will happen, but Harry is a clever guy.

  • This lad would have bean in the first team squad already but for a bad injury that kept him sidelined for nearly six months .Lets hope Harry performs better with our kids than he has with Bentley Dosantos AND Bale.

for those of you who think Harry is going to blood the youngsters – he ain’t. He is already on record as saying that the pressure to get results is so great that he has to go with players of proven quality and experience.

The lack of progress from the youth ranks over the last 10 years is a disgrace. I for one would vote for the excitement of a relegation battle if it meant we could throw some of our home-grown lads into the fray.

The talent we have coming through now is looking a lot better than previously yes, don’t linch me please but I think it is more the Comioli legacy than Harry, after all he found most of these yongsters no? Still don’t want him back though, maybe only as a youth talent spotter.

When we will be in europe again these kids will play, cause we won’t have the money to buy 2 top teams, espacially with a new stadium under construction.

  • Rubbish

You’d prefer a relegation battle??? And produce wonderful youngsters……. Nice! Fuck off to Upton Park!

  • WHL

Relegation battle – you must be on drugs!! What sort of support says that! You might as well say ” i wish we were in the championship so our youngster get a game”…….total fucking retard!

Once they experience in other leagues they can be slowing bought into first team through Carling Cup, Prem rounds in FA Cup etc. Bale had his record broken by Harry as a late sub in the last game and he can be used as cover for BAE as he cannot play all these games for sure. I still think Bale is a better crosser of the ball than BAE but he’s better diffecively.

Bale’s been injured for the past 3 months!!!!!! He’s back to fitness now and will see some action as a squad player. What d’you want him to do? Drop a player who’s performing for a younger one that might or might not? Idiotic comment.

Dos Santos ain’t as special as many people are making out either. He has some skill, but Mexico have been playing Mickey Mouse teams at international level in the CONCACAF Cup (the only remotely respectable other team involved were USA). If you stop to look over at Vale of Arsenal, you’ll find he is unquestionable the main star of that attacking duo and he hardly gets a look in over there either, even with lots of injuries to other players. GDS has a lot to learn before he’s a regular starter at PL level imo. He looked OK at Barca on occasion yes, but in a team like that most players can shine. He’s certainly not the midfield player many of our fand think he might be. He’s an out and out attacker and we have better players than him in Defoe, Keane, Crouch and Pav’. I hope he stays with us and develops into a good player, but he ain’t there yet or he’d be playing every week. Harry’s no mug!

As for Bentley – he’s competing with one of the most in-form right wingers in world football, stop talking rubbish!

VELA – not “Vale” sorry (typo)

  • wayne king

Bentley, Dos Santos and Bale hey?

Why not mention BAE, Lennon, Jenas, Hudds, Gomes, who have all stepped their games up bigtime under Harry? Because you’re happy being a negative, miserable mug! Muppet!
