Gareth Bale has been quietly but continuously linked with a move away from Spurs all summer. Our old mate Martin Jol, now at Ajax, was linked a couple of weeks back and now Bale’s agent is trying to stoke up the transfer spark again, this time putting AC Milan’s name in the mix.
“It’s true, the player likes Milan but for the moment no official offer has arrived for him,” Peppino Tirri told calciomercato.it.
“Many coaches are a fan of Bale, Redknapp included. Unsellable? In today’s market there is no such thing as an unsellable player.
“However, no offer has come in, we have not talked about it with Tottenham, nor of his price.”
What do we think?
Bale is a young player with bags of potential. We all know the unfortunate fact that he hasn’t been on a winning Spurs side in the league. But he’s been one of the worst affected by the Ramos debacle, a young player in a struggling team, confidence shot to bits and so too risky for what was a relegation battle for much of last season.
He’s lost his place at left back to Benoit Assou-Eketto and the stakes have been raised even further by the arrival of Kyle Naughton (who spent much of last season at left back for Sheffield United).
But Bale has the potential to be a world class left back (a term we don’t use lightly) and we need him as a left wing option too. Levy will want top dollar for Bale if Milan really do want him because Redknapp wont want to lose him. We can’t see Milan paying top dollar for a young left back who still has a lot to prove.
We want to see him stay and we think he will. What do you think?

Let him go – he’s hopeless at left back – always too far up the pitch forgetting to come back again.
Dave is a far better left back and he remembers to come back after he’s raided up the wing.
Now we’ve bought Naughton & Seb’ we don’t really need Bale – especially since Modric has been playing so well down the left. Wouldn’t mind raiding Pomppy for their Croatian left winger though.
OK, how does “No offer is in”, or “We have not talked about it” translate into ‘Move on the cards’? First the Muppets then this… Get this amateur nonsense off NewsNow.
Harry doesn’t rate him. Let him go for decent money and use it for other areas.
I hate to say it, but I was wondering the same thing.
Thanks SPursman :s I was asking the same questions as Mes
you’re all idiots, this kid is going to be class. Must keep at all costs
Mes, How does the quote “Unsellable? In today’s market there is no such thing as an unsellable player.” not equate to “on the cards”?
He has no pace and cant defend….get rid…he’s more interested in his hairstyle than developing himself as a footballer!
You fucking bunch of retards. Who gives a fuck?
I fervently hope we’ll keep him. I agree with Jim. He’s top class. Tony and the rest who say we don’t need him are the idiots who make me wonder why I come onto these sites.
Shannon – The reason you come onto these sites is because you are a loser.
That must be it, Royspur
Shannon – have you actually seem Bale have a good game for us yet?
If Inter are crazy enough to want to buy him, we may as well sell him since he’ll hardly be first or even second choice this season. No point in letting Bale rot in the stiffs if JOse wants to spend some money is there?
Bale may well have loads of potential, but he’s neither an out and out winger like Lennon, nor is he as good a defender as Dave.
It’s a bit like the case with Zokora – we all loved him, but he wasn’t very good, so when a good offer came in we took it.
May as well add Bentley to the list of players with potential but may as well sell as they will never be 1st choice.
Because we happen to have a different opinion to you hardly makes us idiots does it? My season ticket in the Paxton gives me a perfect right to have an opionion about our team since I actually go to every home game to watch them
As I said before – I’ve yet to see Bale have a good game & we’ve never won a league game with him in the side – We simply HAVE to sell him if a decent offer comes in.
use are all rods. spurs will end up sellin bale an he’ll become world class, harry needs to be more hand son with him an give him the confidence he so desperately needs. who else in our team gives us that option from free kicks?!
Prediction- when Bentley leaves his form is coming back- guess who will be in thr market to bring him back- brother Harry
Its really possible . Defoe is back. Guess you guys easily predicted that one
I am surprised that brother Harry cannot get Bentley going Man mangement at this level is more important than most other essentials . I think Sherwood can do it . It has to be given to him as a project . He becomes Bentleys buddy 24/7 training evrything till he can score again from the half way line
keep him i think aloan spell would do him some good.
Hey who there??
MF’s
Give who a loan spell/
Can you imagine the powerhouse of a midfield we will have if bentley found his form Fergie will be back looking to snatch we will have JJ. Modric and Bentley
Cat caught your tongue
ok MF’s
mf ur a spastic. bentley is a quality player but in no way a power house. if he had pace to his game he wuld be awesum. hes techniquilly brilliant an his acuray is amazing did any1 see the shot from the top of the red bull building into the skip?:O plus i got him on my jersey! keep bentley and bale harry deyll come good!
Bale has speed, strength, can take on and beat defenders and has a terrific shot. He should be taking all our free kicks around the box. Wales reckon he’s the next Ryan Giggs. By some quirk we haven’t won with him in the side, but that’s all it is, a quirk. I respect Harry but there’s no denying the sheer talent of Gareth Bale and I’ll be gutted if Spurs can’t keep him and get the best out of him. I’ve said it before: He’s our best player!
Spurs fans are expecting too much of Bale. He can’t be expected to tackle or head the ball when such actions might move one of his hairs out of place.
Bale is just at the start of his career. He will be excellent dont sell him or Bentley. Sell Jenas he is never going to get any better.
well said i agree totally, jenas has a good game every 25 matches.
Bale is a top top quality player. This was proven in the first few games when he arrived, it hasn’t gone well for him since that partly being his fault, this season he did seem like he wasn’t bothered and just happy to be playing for a big club with a big wage. Hopefully over the summer he’s pulled that stick out of his arse and he’ll be a motivated SOB going all out for a spot on the left. I definitely don’t wanna see him go.
are ulot mad?give the kid(bale) a chance, have u seen his free kicks? i definately dont want him to go, and bentley 2 one not so great season and every ones talking about selling him, have f88king faith!!! hes quality too, sell him to villa or whoever and it will only come back and bite us on the bum when he plays well.
“He has no pace and cant defend….get rid…he’s more interested in his hairstyle than developing himself as a footballer!”
r u havin a laugh the guy has pace to burn, u r a twat! he cant defend but he can beat a man, cross a ball, has pace can dribble has a great left foot so give him a chance on the left wing!
One word. LOAN deal. Ok two!
Bale can go to Italy, Bentley to Villa, Boateng to anyone who will give us a few bob all in exchange for Ashley Young.
Now there’s a quality player with pace to burn.
It was interesting to see who didn’t play against the Greeks. JJ wasn’t there, Bentley stormed down the tunnel when taken off, Bale didn’t come on and neither did Hutton. KPB was as rubbish as ever.
Defoe & Pav’ looked class act together – very sharp. Rodders looked slow and Keano was far too deep.
I’d start with Defoe & Pav & get rid of Bale, Bentley, KPB & try to bring in Young or Krancher who links well Modric & Charlie for Croatia.
Bring on the scousers eh eh eh…
