Thought you’d all enjoy reading a blog post from a Man Utd fan on the battle between Lennon and Evra. It’s gone to the top of the top read stories on Newsnow Man Utd.
Here’s an extract from it:
“I appreciate the talents and the frightening pace of the Spurs man but it’s still a mystery for me why our world-class left-back regularly comes off second best against him. Take the Carling Cup final where he was tormented; take the league game at Old Trafford when he was skinned on several occasions, leading to two goals; or the league clash at White Hart Lane in February 2008 when we came within moments of losing. He just could not cope with Lennon on these occasions…”
“…I don’t know if Evra is concerned by Lennon – hopefully not, a relaxed Evra is far better than an anxious one – but it might be worth to start Park instead of Nani, to offer some extra protection on our left. Do I sound like a coward?”

That is comedy gold. He does stuff Evra every time but he stuffs all the top left backs because opposition managers with top left backs don’t feel the need to double up on him. Long may it continue. COYS

evra has had 1 and a half bad games against lennon. the last one at old trafford i think lennon got taken off because evra had him in his pocket after a shaky opening 20 mins. and evra has played aginst lennon and kept him quiet on many occassions prior to last season. this is just the normal over reaction from spurs fans to a few wins early doors.
You spurs jokers. If Lennon does evra so often, why do you never, ever beat us?

Man u should be concerned about the threat that young Lennon poses Fergie’s no fool that’s why you can expect some rough house tactics today. Not one to agree with the arse but if you look at their game against man u its obvious they don’t have their flair player in Ronald anymore so they have to compensate. I really think we need to take our chances at first time of asking today its that kind of game. I would also like to see Hudd Crouch and Defoe start today give Robbie a rest today. Crouch looked very sharp when he came on against the Brum other day obvious threat in the air but can hold it up bring Defoe in the play. Expect the manc to cram the midfield try stifle the creativity. 2~1 to the tottenham lilywhite til I die.
be very surprised if keanes benched. he’ll iver be on left or upfront with jd. arry will want these 2 against the big sides as keane can drop into midfield and allow wilson and THudd to concentrate on defencive play. should be a cracking game. COYS

Lennon is young-just turned 22- and is maturing, aquring more nous, skills and strength. It’s called improving with experience. Sorry little ones but one day you will understand what maturing is when you reach the start of that process.
