Muntari Sparks Mourinho Ramadan Row

Tottenham target Sulley Muntari and Inter manager Jose Mourinho are at the centre of a row in Italy about sports and religios abstenance, possibly (hopefully) bringing Muntari’s move to Spurs a step closer.
Muslims abstain from eating or drinking during daylight hours in the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
And Muntari, a practicing Muslim, is sticking to his guns on the matter, despite protestations from Mourinho, who subbed Muntari after just 30 mins of Inter’s last match against Bari.
Mourinho said: ‘Muntari had some problems related to Ramadan, perhaps with this heat it’s not good for him to be doing this (fasting). Ramadan has not arrived at the ideal moment for a player to play a football match.’
Mourinho has upset the Union of Islamic Communities and Organisations in Italy whose president, Nour Dachan had this to say:
‘I think Mourinho could do with talking a little less. A practising (Muslim) player is not weakened because we know from the Institute of Sports Medicine that mental and psychological stability can give a sportsman an extra edge on the field.
‘A player who is a believing Christian, Jew or Muslim is certainly calmer psychologically and that improves his performance.’
With
Jamie O’Hara and KPB out of the picture and Redknapp confirming that the
Sandro deal is unlikely to happen in this window, Muntari looks a good bet to be our numbers one target between now and Tuesday. Especially if this religious row sours the relationship between Mourinho and Muntari.

Islam was founded by a paedophile who said that the end of the world would not come until his followers killed all the Jews. He said this despite claiming to be a prophet of the Jewish God. Clearly intelligence was not his strong point, nor is it for any of his followers.
