NDG 71…You tool. Robbie Keane prior to going to Liverpool said that he wanted to remain at Spurs it was his spiritual home he wanted to end his career with us… 2 months later Liverpool come in and he’s off like a rat of a sinking ship.. What does he say ? I’ve always wanted to play for Liverpool my boyhood hero’s I’ve come to my spiritual home… Cant get a game then comes back to Spurs tail between his legs.. Back to his spiritual home no doubt ! NO WAIT… goes on loan to Celtic the club he’s always supported his spiritual home the club he always wanted to play for…..

Blokes a Cnut and that’s why the majority of true Spurs fans are glad to see the back of him… He used us till he got a better offer once and will do it gain now playing amateur football in Scotland….

Good riddance Robbie Keane dont look back and dont come back…..

I would agree that Keano seems to have a lost a yard but maybe not because he’s past his best but mainly coz he’s not playing regularly to retain sharpness. Our manager fancies Crouch and Defoe and noted JD does seem to allow himself to get offside a little too much surely we should be getting behind those players at Spurs – what’s done is done. Keano may or may not come back – his stint at Liverpool has definitely blighted his career but hopefully regular footie north of the border will bring that spring in his step – I am a Keano fan and believe he is much better than he is showing right now.

Hutton going to Sunderland isn’t necessary a bad thing for the player again if the manager doesn’t fancy him full time – let him play so we can get some money for him when somebody does come in for him.

As to the boys on the pitch and our manager – lets get behind them and see if we can overcome Leeds Utd in the Cup and keep our push for 4th on course. Remember we’ve got Villa at home and Man City away so it’s definitely in our hands people. What would you say to Gudjohnsen popping up with winning goals against those two teams? Not much I’d reckon.

The only thing I couldn’t get my head around was why we did not try for Babel loan or permanent – a winger with pace in abundance and going no where at Liverpool? Anyone got any thoughts on this one?

for crying out loud!!!! keane is not getting better, he is slowly getting worse. he is getting older, that`s it. and now we have 3 strikers, and on new midfilde`r\striker(gudjonson). and now maybe pav can get a chance to play. i think if keane is so great in the dressing room, wonder who he will be in there when he is not happy. he must be just as prominet then, just negative. if keane proves me wrong i will be happy. and HR is not a great manager, going out in the paper`s saying this and that about certain players??? you do not see old red nose doing that, or wenger. if as some of you on here say, we should stop complaining about players. should not HARRY REDKNAPP do the same??????????????? he is the manager, he is the man our player`s expect to suport them in the media!! not hanging them out. so start at the top, start with HARRY, and maybe we can get that 4th spot. so dont make this the suporters foult, they hear us once, maybe two times a week. they hear harry every day! godbye, kols of norway.

Funny, I remember when we got Hutton, some guy in Scotland 9a rangers fan I think) was laughing, saying they were glad 2 see the back of him – bet he is in stitches now, oh how he has been proved right …. As for Keane, good luck but don’t come back – you will love playing =2 Championship football coz that’s all you have ever been good 4 – you always looked good at Spurs in an adv team, now we are just above adv, we can see what crap you really r … Mind you look at Celtic, once a top team then take a manager who’s only success was … was … was …. and make him manager of your team … Shows he don’t know what 2 do by taking our 3rd/4th placed rubbish striker … another manager 4 the chop then … Now if we could get rid of Redknap as well – Any takers ??? (and no I’m not kidding) never was any more than a mediocre manager and never will be any more than that…

May I just point out that keano scored 16 league goals the year BEFORE berbatov joined, more than in either of the 2 seasons berba was here. He didnt score any more with berba here. If that is a slide what do you think of defoe? he has never scored that many, was he on his way to non-league footy before this season? I sense you are just bitter about keano leaving for liverpool, but who can blame him, we will never get top 4 or any success with fans like yourself, we dont need to sign more players, we need to sign new fans!

I actually think this could be a masterstroke by Redknapp. He is obviously not playing at his best at the moment. Loaning him out to Celtic (one of only two clubs he said he would ever leave spurs for), where he is almost guaranteed regular first team football against weaker opposition could revitalise him and get him back to his goal scoring best. “What about Liverpool” I hear you cry, well, I think it was too much for him – Liverpool are a massive club expected to win every game. This with the added pressure of playing for his childhood team seemed to take it’s toll.

If he does not play to his best in the SPL, then that gives Harry the option to let them keep him. If on the other hand he gets back to what we know he is capable of then we’ll have him back thank you very much!!!

Couple of things. Fans have every right to make their comments known whether on the internet, in a pub or in a discussion at work. My only expectation is that the fans actually watch or listen to the match before expressing opinions and that opinions remain football related. Personal attacks against players, or other posters for that matter, are always unacceptable. I, too, believe that it is totally counterproductive to criticize the players or the team during a match. The fans at the stadium are supposed to be the 12th man and should be doing everything to pick the lads up as is possible. Only exception is the Manager. Tactics often decide games and managers ought to be applauded and jeered for what they do. Comes with the territory and should be saved for the end of the match. If Harry asks Defoe to take the next spot kick, what to do? Clearly booing Defoe will never help, so get behind the lad, but when it goes down as history suggests it will go down, feel free to have a good verbal go at Harry – not personal, not profanity laden, but have a go. Jol understood all this and made himself the centre of attention, thereby deflecting away from the players. Harry singles players out and seems to love having his players run off to every press outlet to explain why we are so much better than Pool, and Chelsea, and ManU and Arsenal a day before we get our butts handed to us. He is a poor manager of men. A manager’s job is to get the best out of the players he’s got. Has he truly done that for Pav, Bentley, Gio and so many more. Leaving someone off the bench for a few weeks is a punishment. Leaving them out in the cold for months is a grudge. Problem with ‘Arry is his ego is bigger than his players. As to Keane, his best days are behind him and it’s clear for everyone to see. Is he a legend. Of course, but so is Jimmy Greaves, but we’re not bringing him back are we? Games no longer are affected by Keane, so even as a super-sub, he just doesn’t fit the role. Perhaps he can find his game again at Celtic, though I doubt it, as it’s pace and desire that seem to have left him. We’ll see though. At any event, 5 strikers must be seen as unworkable, if ‘Arry thinks four is too many. Someone had to go and I would even suggest that 2 had to go. COYS

I don’t think it’s bad loan or deals during this windows
Gudjohnsen – he can play just behind the strikers and Harry tried Keane in this position a few times and did not work out well. Keano is not the same player who left for Liverpool when he came back. I personally think this would benefit Pav as he’s a good skillful play compared to Crouch and Harry should try with Modders on the left Lennon/Bentley on right with Pav and Defoe up front and Gudjohnsen just behind them. Since Palocious works hard as a defensive midfielder we might not miss Hudders that much. To finish fourth the more important thing is to beat lesser teams rather than draw or lose, this kind of formation might work againt teams like these.

In terms of Hutton and Naughton loaned out we got Walker back from loan so he will be a ready made sub for Corluka. Karboul could provicd cover for the 2 centre backs as Ledley and woodgate are very injury prone
